MARÍA MORALES, FUNDAP Microcredit

María Morales, during 2018 and 2019, trained at our Business School, learning to manage her business effectively. With the financial support she was able to increase the production of atoles and expand its distribution, obtaining profits to pay for the education of her daughter and reinvest in her business. A great story.

María Morales is 54 years old, she is the mother of a daughter and lives in the municipality of San José El Idolo, Suchitepéquez. She came to FUNDAP in 2015, thanks to a friend who told her about how the Foundation worked with loans. Subsequently, the credits that she has requested have been invested in the raw materials for the production of atoles.

During the years 2018 and 2019, she participated in the Microentrepreneurs Seeking Alternatives MBA course at the FUNDAP Business School, where she learned to manage her business effectively, innovating and establishing growth goals. With financial support, it was able to increase the production of atoles and expand its distribution, since it currently delivers her products to different schools, neighborhood stores, and a sugar mill.

Thanks to the profits she has obtained, she has been able to pay for her daughter’s education and has reinvested in her business, acquiring more machinery to produce other products. We wish María a great future, full of work, effort and prosperity.
